Client Spotlight – Carol

At UHF, we believe fitness is for everyone, no matter your age or starting point.

Carol joined us in September, looking to regain her strength, improve her health and stay independent.

Her story proves it’s never too late to start and with the right support, anything is possible!

Here’s what Carol had to say…..

“It’s never too late to start. That’s what I told myself when I joined UHF and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health.

From day one, Chris listened patiently and truly understood my reasons for joining. As someone who isn’t the most confident, this meant a lot. He put me at ease no pressure, just valuable advice and deep fitness knowledge.

That conversation reassured me I was in the right place. 🫶

At 65, I was getting weaker, dealing with joint aches and facing a choice…

➡️ Stay sedentary

➡️ Take control of my health.

Watching my mum struggle with balance issues and falls made me realize I needed to stay strong not just for myself, but to help my parents too.

Strength training and cardio were key and the gym was the answer.

Since joining, the incredible UHF coaches have encouraged me to try things I never thought possible, things I was honestly too scared to attempt, given my heart bypass and stroke history.

I used to think my daily two hour walks were enough, but deep down, I knew I needed more.

I’ve joined gyms before but never stuck with them. UHF is different.

Now, I want to go. I miss it when I don’t not just the workouts, but the amazing community.

I feel stronger, fitter,l and more confident in my body’s abilities. I’m still at the start of this journey, but this time, I won’t give up.

Chris and his team have transformed my mindset, motivation, and belief in myself.

I’d also like to say a special thank you to Danielle, whose support and encouragement have made such a difference in my journey.

Her guidance has helped me push past my fears and achieve things I never thought possible.

If you’re hesitant like I was, take that first step—you won’t regret it.”
